Eating mindfully to lose weight

In the blog I mentioned eating with mindfulness, just what is that?
Mindfulness is purposely paying attention in a non-judgemental way, to what is going on in your body, mind and in the world around you. This awareness of the moment is Mindfulness. This state is all about being awake and aware – living in the now, the present – rather than being stuck in dwelling in the past or trying to anticipate the future.
By staying in touch with the present, from one moment to the next leads to experiencing things somewhat differently, feeling less stuck, seeing more options and also having more confidence.
What’s that got to do with eating?

Of course eating Mindfully also applies to noticing when you are hungry too, if you find yourself becoming hungry go ahead and eat something, if it is in between meals perhaps a piece of fruit or a cereal bar will suffice, and then you won’t feel starved and eat too much or to fast at meal times.
